Traditional irrigation in Europe as a cultural heritage

Welcome to the website of the International Centre for Traditional Irrigation in Europe (IZTB). This is the umbrella organisation for Traditional Irrigation in general and for the local bearers in Europe. The IZTB is based in the monastery complex of St. Urban (Switzerland), in the middle of a ‘water landscape’ that is still actively cultivated today.
